Moose aka Cisco's RB Story

September 27, 2017 – April 23, 2021

Hello Cisco fka Moose here. I found my forever home with Timothy in Reno. Since I am a big boy and my klutzy behavior my new forever family changed my name back to “Moose”. I am having a wonderful time, not gambling, but chasing my new little friend and playing with tennis balls, I can carry three of them in my mouth at one time. Not long after I moved here, we had a big snow storm, two feet of new white snow that I have been jumping in and making tunnels and trails through. I am still a dedicated counter cruiser and I have been caught sitting in a chair at the table eating someone else’s cheese burger, MMM good. Oh yes, I have seizures and since my adoption, my meds have been reduced. Must be my happy home life.

Thank all of you for helping me find these wonderful people and my forever home, I love it.     Moose

Moose (fka Cisco) has been doing great. We moved into a new house that has an amazing view of Reno and the valley. There are lots of rabbits, birds and coyotes to watch from the back view fence. He loves to be in the back yard. His seizures have mostly been under control but he still has one every now and then. We have been dealing with his ongoing skin and ear issues and have found an outstanding canine allergist who has really made some tremendous progress. He is much more comfortable now. He is a very happy boy and we love him. In-n-Out cheeseburgers are his favorite so now we always buy him one when we go there. He loves riding in the Tahoe and is an awesome travel companion, so mellow and just likes to sit between the front seats with his head on the console.

Sad to say Moose has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Moose passed yesterday afternoon. He went into a fairly serious seizure around Noon. He would start to come out/come out for a little bit then immediately go into another one. I rushed home from work and got him down to the emergency vet. Nothing they gave him would stop the seizures. There were no good outcomes with the choices we were faced with. We elected to have him put down rather than suffer any more. Under the circumstances, the vets and situation were as good as I could have asked given what we were dealing with.

His time with us was shorter than we prefer but he was like a comet. He more than left his mark on us.

Thank you for helping Moose (fka Cisco) become a part of our family.
