Let me introduce myself. My name is Ginger and I came into 2nd Chance Vizsla Rescue because my owner surrendered me to the local animal shelter. My owner told the shelter that I was 7 years old, but my foster mom says I look my like 4 yrs.

My previous owner told the shelter that I bit her on her hand, but it is not true. I have never bitten anyone in my whole life. My foster mom tells everyone who will listen that I am just about the most perfect foster dog she has ever had.

I know a lot of commands, many of which my foster mom hasn’t figured out yet. I just love my crate. I get to sleep and eat there and it is real nice. A place all my own. – Ginger

Everyone says that I am one of the lucky dogs because I ended up in Vizsla Rescue. Well I agree, it was a lot of fun being with other Vizslas in my foster’s home. Then the big deal happened. I met some people who might be interested in taking me home with them. At first they said they wanted a younger dog since they just lost their old dog recently. Well my foster mom brought out the tennis ball and I got to show them that older is just a number. They told my foster mom that they wanted to go home and think it over. After a few days they contacted my foster mom and told her that they wanted to take me out and throw some tennis balls with me. Then there was another day visit, which really cemented the deal. They were impressed and the next day they came to pick me up to add me to their family. I continue to be a lucky dog. - Ginger
