how are you? Sabrina here, I just wanted to introduce myself and let
you all know how lucky I am to have landed in 2nd Chance Vizsla
Rescue. I am about 15 months old and I am a Vizsla/Cocker mix. I am
told that I have typical Cocker eyes, I also whine a little like a
Cocker. I have a stubby tail like a Cocker and when I way my tail my
whole body wiggles. Everyone thinks that is real cute. What also
adds to my cuteness is my size. I am a little bigger, not much, than
a Cocker and weigh only 30#. I have also been told that I am a
little spit fire. In my foster home I could out fun all the Vizslas
there. I loved to play with the other, bigger Vizslas there. It sure
Anyway, I am getting off the subject a little as to how I ended up
in rescue. I am originally from Carlsbad, NM. I was running loose
and having a great time when animal control picked me up and took me
to the local shelter, Noah’s Ark. The shelter manager contacted Rita
of 2nd Chance Vizsla Rescue and Rita told them she would take me.
Wow, what an adventure, I got to fly in an airplane to CO and Rita
picked me up at the airport. I didn’t like the plane ride too much
though and I was sure glad when we got on firm ground.
After a couple of weeks it was decided that I would make a good
(big) sister to the dog called Rudy. I was told that he only had 3
legs and he needed a buddy. Oh well, it sounded like I could handle
Rudy who was bigger than me, BUT, he only had 3 legs & I have 4 so I
figured I could handle him.
Anyway, I am in my new home with my new “big” brother and 2 teenage
humans to play with. I am told that Rudy & I are going to be going
to obedience classes, whatever that means. Anyway my new family
gives me lots of attention and keeps me busy and I am leaning to
love them a lot.
Thank you 2nd Chance Vizsla Rescue for giving me such a great
family. - Sabrina
