Boone's Story

I'm Boone.  I'm about 19months old and I just moved to northern Idaho.  I was staying with my foster dad and his 2 Vizsla girls in New Mexico and they were great!  He would take me on hikes and running on a soccer field every day.  I had soooooo much fun!  Then one day my new dad showed up.  We went on a hike and cuddled on the couch and had dinner.   Then he took out a leash and I knew I was going with him.  I got so excited! 

We were in the car for a really long time.  I like cars and it was fun.  I slept a lot and looked out the window to see where we were going.  Then we got "home" as dad calls it.  I met my new mom and my sister and brother - my sister is a Vizsla and my brother is lab mix.  We became best friends right away, and my sister is SO FAST!!!  We chase each other around the yard until we both collapse from being tired.  But I'm really more obsessed with my big brother.  I want to do everything he does.

I love my new yard!  There's a lot of grass to run in, and also some trees for birds and deer and all kinds of stuff to hide in.  We spend a lot of time outside, so I get to explore like crazy.  I do have a boundary that I'm not allowed to cross.  I did it once and dad said no, so I don't do that anymore.  I'm a good boy and I want mom & dad to know that.   

I am so thankful that dad came to get me.  I want to be right next to him all the time.  If he leaves the room, I need to go find him to make sure he's okay.  I even check in on him when I'm outside running around.  I love home.  My favorite time is the morning.  Mom & dad open our crates and let us out and I give them a big hug and kisses to start the day.  They kiss me goodnight at the end of the day, so I think that's what I'm supposed to do.  Gotta run - I think I just saw a bird land on the grass...
